When is the backup carried out?
The backup is performed automatically between 01:00 and 06:00. The exact time cannot be determined, as the systems are backed up in a random order and the duration depends on the volume of data to be backed up.
Where and how is the backup stored?
The backups are stored on a dedicated backup system, which is separate from the actual host system.
How is the backup carried out?
We create a 1:1 copy of your server’s hard disk image on our host system, ensuring you experience only minimal performance impact during the backup process and the highest possible level of data security.
How long are the backups retained?
The duration of backup storage varies depending on the backup service you have booked.
Is the backup space counted towards my storage allowance?
The backups are, of course, not counted towards your booked storage space, as they are not allocated to the host system, as described above. The backup storage is stored separately and is included in the backup service.
Do I have access to my backups?
You can request the backups at any time and restore them directly via the Customer Centre in the server management section.
