Yes, Moodle is supported
Moodle is the widely used open-source learning platform for schools, universities, companies and training providers. It uses PHP and a MySQL database; you select the required PHP version per domain. Individual PHP settings that Moodle requires can be adjusted with your own php.ini.
Our plan recommendation for Moodle
- Premium: for learning platforms with a manageable number of participants - with plenty of space for course material and Redis for sessions and cache on request
- Managed cloud server: for schools, universities and companies with many simultaneous participants, exams and large courses
For test and development environments, Professional is sufficient as well.
Installing Moodle
Download Moodle from moodle.org and unpack it in your domain's directory. Create the data directory moodledata outside the publicly accessible web directory and create a database in the control panel. The installation wizard in the browser guides you through the setup. Important: Moodle needs a cron job that runs admin/cli/cron.php every minute.
