New customer portal: Greater security, performance and flexibility for your future

SpeedIT customer area - 2026

Digitalisation presents new challenges every day in terms of performance, security and user-friendliness. To ensure we can continue to offer you first-class service ‘made in Germany’, we are introducing a completely new customer portal with immediate effect. By working with a German developer, we are deliberately strengthening the domestic business environment and can make even better use of local resources.

Why a new customer portal?

Our previous portal served us well for many years - but as the range of functions grows, legacy systems eventually reach their limits, particularly when the development company behind them fails to recognise the need for change. The new system offers:

  • Modern design & improved usability A clear menu structure with a fresh look makes everyday tasks quicker and more intuitive.
  • Greater security through up-to-date encryption Modern hash algorithms, strict role and access rights management, and additional security measures ensure that your data is even better protected.
  • Higher performance The new platform is based on a scalable architecture, enabling us to handle peak loads effortlessly and roll out features more quickly.
  • Foundation for future growth Thanks to its modular structure, we’ll be able to integrate new services (e.g. self-service upgrades, real-time monitoring or automated backups) much more flexibly in future.

Live migration without interruption

The migration is taking place whilst the system remains operational - so you can continue to use your services as normal. We have already imported all customer data (products, contracts, tickets, etc.) 1:1 into the new portal. New orders and new customers are expected to be created exclusively in the new section from 17 April 2025.

Important for you

  1. Set a new password For security reasons, we store passwords exclusively in encrypted form. Due to new encryption algorithms, we are unable to migrate them. Simply use the ‘Forgotten password’ function in the new portal to set a secure password.
  2. Downloading invoices Existing invoices cannot be transferred for technical reasons. Please download all documents from the old customer area in good time and archive them locally. We will, of course, continue to provide you with copies on request.
  3. Parallel operation The old customer portal will remain accessible for a transitional period - but only for viewing old data. New orders, upgrades and support tickets must be processed exclusively via the new portal.
  4. Two-factor authentication Two-factor authentication in the customer portal must be set up from scratch. Please complete this after your first login to ensure enhanced account security.

Information for migrated customers

As soon as your account has been successfully migrated, a clearly visible notice will appear in the old customer portal directing you to the new portal. This will allow you to see immediately whether your data has already been migrated. If this notice does not appear, your account is still running on the old system.

Re-enter payment details

For security reasons, we will not transfer any saved SEPA direct debits or credit card details. Please re-enter your preferred payment method after logging in for the first time to the new customer portal to ensure future billing runs smoothly.

What’s changing with your products?

We have carried over your products - from hosting packages to cloud instances - without any changes. Some specialised solutions are being migrated gradually; if an item does not yet appear in the new portal, please continue to manage it in the old area. We will notify you as soon as the migration is complete.

Now even more feature-rich - but not yet complete

To begin with, the new customer portal covers all essential functions: product overview, invoice download, contract details, support tickets and much more. Some features - such as sub-users (delegation to colleagues or external administrators) - are still under development and will follow shortly via an update.

We’ll keep you updated on our progress and look forward to your feedback so that we can tailor the platform perfectly to your needs.

Security & data protection ‘made in Germany’

By using German software and operating from our data centre in Frankfurt, all customer and billing data remains under European jurisdiction. For you, this means:

  • GDPR-compliant processing
  • Direct access to our support team
  • Maximum availability thanks to local infrastructure and direct administration

Next steps

  1. Log in now Visit the new customer portal, click on ‘Forgotten password’ and set your new password.
  2. Save invoices Log in to the old portal and download any past invoices if required.
  3. Save payment details Add your SEPA direct debit authorisation or credit card details in the new portal if you wish to use automatic billing.
  4. Place new orders From 17 April 2025, all new orders will automatically be available in the new customer portal.

Do you have any questions or suggestions regarding the transition? Our support team will be happy to assist you at any time. Thank you for your trust - together, we are laying the foundations for an even more powerful, flexible and secure SpeedIT experience.
