Manage DNS records

In this guide, you will learn how to manage your DNS records with SpeedIT Solutions. Managing your DNS records is essential to ensure that your domain points correctly to your website and other online services.

Steps for managing DNS records:

Accessing the customer portal:

Log in to our customer portal using your login details to manage your domains.

Navigate to your domains:

1. In the main menu, select ‘Domains’.
2. Select ‘My Domains’ from the drop-down list.

Select and manage a domain:

1. Find the domain for which you wish to manage the DNS records.
2. Click ‘Manage’ next to the relevant domain.

Accessing DNS management:

1. In the left-hand submenu, you will find the ‘DNS Management’ option. Click on it.

Managing DNS records:

Creating new DNS records:

• Simply add new DNS records at the end of the list.
• Select the type of DNS record (e.g. A, CNAME, MX, TXT) and enter the required information.
• Save the new record.

Editing existing DNS records:

• Find the DNS record you wish to edit.
• Make the desired changes and save them.

Deleting DNS records:

• Find the DNS record you wish to delete.
• Clear the editable fields
• Save the changes at the end of the form

Important notes:

Changes to DNS records can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours to propagate fully worldwide. This depends on the TTL (Time to Live) of the DNS records - for us, this is usually 1 hour.

Please ensure that all entries are correct to avoid any disruption to your services.
