Every cloud server receives one IPv4 and one IPv6 address during setup. Both are configured statically in the system - there is no DHCP server. You will find the addresses in the Overview tab in the IP addresses card, each with a copy button and the reverse DNS entry.
Network data
The Network configuration card shows gateway, netmask and the DNS servers your server received during setup or the last reinstallation. You need this information if you configure the network in the system by hand, for example after installing from an ISO image.
Name servers
New and reinstalled servers receive Cloudflare's public resolvers as name servers, alternating between IPv4 and IPv6: 1.1.1.1, 2606:4700:4700::1111, 1.0.0.1 and 2606:4700:4700::1001. You can enter other name servers in the system at any time.
Additional IPv4 addresses
If you need further IPv4 addresses, for example for several services with their own reverse DNS, order them in the IP addresses card with Order another IP. Price and maximum number depend on the plan and are shown in the card; the address is billed monthly with your contract. With a cancelled contract you cannot order further addresses.
Every additional address reaches your server via its own additional network card; its MAC address is shown in the IP addresses card. How to configure the address in the operating system is shown in Setting up an additional IP address in the operating system.
