Our cloud server systems are unmanaged systems. This means that you have full root/administrator access and can install and configure the system from scratch.
Accordingly, we do not impose any restrictions on which operating system or software you run on these systems. It is only important that none of the services used contravene German law or our General Terms and Conditions (link).
Please ensure that the software and services used on your systems are always up to date and secure to prevent damage to your system or to third parties. Please also observe the legal obligations under the IT Security Act.
Access rights for a Managed Cloud Server
If you opt for a managed server, you will receive a pre-installed system with a control panel, which we will keep up to date and secure for you. You will not have full administrator/root rights on this system.
